| Sashiko
Kits
These are a great way to try out sashiko for the first time.
Kits contain instructions on how to mark the patterns using a ruler and easily made circle
templates – these are not pre-printed panels.
Once you know how to mark the patterns, you can use them again and again in your own projects.

"Tai" Sashiko Bag
The Japanese word for sea bream, "tai", sounds like the word for "great", so the fish motif is considered very lucky. My happy tai is paired with bamboo, which represents tenacity and strength. The sashiko design is based on a vintage kasuri ikat panel and stitched on striped tsumugi cotton.
It is fully lined in a blue and cream Japanese print. Kit contains thread and fabrics for one bag. Finished bag is approx.
12in tall x 10in wide (excluding handles). Includes instructions for assembling the bag and full size sashiko pattern. Please choose from irregular dark blue stripe (as shown), narrow dark blue stripe, wide blue stripe with light stripe, blue/gold narrow stripe and sage green/red/multi stripe.
