Commission to celebrate a couple's morris, rapper and longsword dance interests.
Images of dancing were manipulated in various photo programmes and printed onto fabric.
The colours and border reflect the kit (dance clothes) of various teams. Techniques include

Machine appliqué inspired by 1950s furnishing fabrics, Constance Howard's embroidery

In contrast, I also make miniature quilts from time to time.

Selected as one of twenty two quilts sent from members of the Quilters' Guild of the British
Isles to the 2001 Intercelt Festival at Morbihan, Brittany.
Challenge theme: "Mettez un grain de Celte dans votre Quilt".
The triangle design plays with the trios of the Celtic tryskelle design. Tea dyed challenge
fabric, machine appliquéd with embroidery and beaded embellishments. The centre roundel
is translucent and can be backlit. A face at the bottom of the triangle appears and disappears
behind metallic silk gauze, depending on the position of the viewer.
